O procedimento inicia pelo atendimento pr\u00e9-operat\u00f3rio e, logo em seguida, as pessoas s\u00e3o encaminhadas para a cirurgia.<\/p>\n<p>A iniciativa, que come\u00e7ou na segunda-feira (18), segue at\u00e9 a pr\u00f3xima quinta-feira (21\/06), na Unidade M\u00f3vel de Cirurgia Ocular da Funda\u00e7\u00e3o Altino Ventura, que est\u00e1 no estacionamento das Faculdades Integradas da Vit\u00f3ria de Santo Ant\u00e3o \u2013 FAINTVISA. A expectativa \u00e9 de que aproximadamente 150 pessoas sejam atendidas nesses quatro dias.<\/p>\n<p><strong>O que \u00e9 Catarata?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>O termo \u201ccatarata\u201d \u00e9 dado para qualquer tipo de perda de transpar\u00eancia do cristalino, lente situada atr\u00e1s da \u00edris (Figura), seja ela cong\u00eanita ou adquirida, independente de causar ou n\u00e3o preju\u00edzos \u00e0 vis\u00e3o. Segundo a Organiza\u00e7\u00e3o Mundial de Sa\u00fade (OMS), a catarata \u00e9 respons\u00e1vel por 47,8% dos casos de cegueira no mundo, acometendo principalmente a popula\u00e7\u00e3o
